Woke up this morning to a nice BRISK Houston day. For lots of people, that’s a nice change of pace. They say different strokes for different folks and all that, but let me tell you - the cold weather is NOT for me. That’s why I haven’t left Houston in all these years! For all those aspiring models out there who feel like you’ve got to go put a bikini on and romp around in 10 degree weather to be considered official, I say “F” that.” I’ll be the first to admit that I “Girl up” when it gets cold. I got that expression from my cousin Cornelius when we were kids, and it means to get sensitive, or to not be able to handle the situation with the best poise and temperment. I will NOT be shooting you in subzero, or even 50 above zero in the cold. ALL your pictures will be blurry, even if I’m bundled up in a full length coat, hat and boots. Nose running, icy feet, cold hands….I just turned the thermostat up thinking about that! I love visiting my friends up north, but not in the winter time. So I sit here with my hot chocolate and whipped cream, listening to old John Legend’s “Ordinary People” (we all are, you know) and keeping my ass warm over here. I’m really feeling that new “Green Light” track featuring Andre 3000 from John Legend too, that’s hot.
Not to worry about all that cold stuff around here, our season actually heats up a little bit more intensely around this time of year. Our anniversary mark is December 25th, and as many of you know, we’ve consistently published a calendar every year for the past four years. I’m of mixed sentiment to say that the tradition has stopped this year. As we progressed toward the middle of the year, there were several reasons that pushed away from what would have been a “5 in a row” run for SB calendars. Although we’ve produced some amazing new models, I didn’t want to put out a lackluster project that only had a handful of standouts. Amazing things are on the doorstep though, and they’re knocking loudly. I can’t wait to unveil the new direction that we’re going to you, it’s about two weeks out and many of you already have the inside scoop. If you don’t, just sit tight, it’s so very worth the wait………………………shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
If you’re in Houston tonight, come out and meet and greet Rabbit along with NBA Legend Nick Van Exel and other stars from the Houston Rockets and the New Orleans Hornets tonight at Grooves.
